Today, I joined the family and friends of the late Graham Noyes of Menangle to bid him farewell in a moving memorial service. Graham's wife Dorothy was present along with his son and daughter, and members of the Menangle RFS. Graham was born 12th March 1930 and celebrated his 95th birthday last month at Durham Green Village where he resided.

Graham was a committed and cherished member of the Menangle RFS, and his calm and steady presence was a reassurance to others during challenging times. Having joined in his 70's, Graham's energy and commitment was admired by those he volunteered alongside. Graham was also a keen runner and athlete, and he was a part of the Menangle Community Action Group, using his voice to bring attention to matters that concerned the community.

Graham lived his life with integrity, and his humble sense of duty, warmth and kindness will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. Rest in peace, Graham.
In Loving Memory of 12th March 1930 - 16th April 2025

A LIFE WELL LIVED
A life well lived is a precious gift, of hope and strength and grace.
From someone who has made our world a brighter, better place.
It's filled with moments, sweet and sad, with smiles and sometimes tears,
With friendships formed and good times shared and laughter through the years.
A life well lived is a legacy of joy and pride and pleasure, A living lasting memory our grateful hearts will treasure.

In Loving Memory of Graham Henry Noyes
12 March 1930 \endash 16 April 2025
We're saddened to share the passing of one of our long-standing and much-loved past members, Graham Noyes.

Graham passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning at the age of 95, surrounded by love and care at Durham Green, after a courageous battle with an infection. His beloved wife Dorothy reached out to let us know and shared how deeply connected Graham always felt to the Menangle Brigade and the NSW Rural Fire Service.

Graham joined the RFS in 2006 and served with unwavering dedication. As a volunteer bush firefighter, he brought a calm and steady presence-always ready to help, always putting others first. His service reflected the man he was: humble, dependable, and deeply community-minded.
But Graham was more than just a firefighter. He was a cherished member of the Menangle community, admired by all who knew him for his warmth, kindness, and quiet strength. His legacy is one of friendship, integrity, and selfless service.

He is survived by his wonderful wife Dorothy and loving daughter Elizabeth (Libby), who are preparing a heartfelt farewell in his honour. Dorothy and Libby expressed how much Graham loved the brigade and how proud he was to be part of it. They've warmly invited the RFS to take part in the service\emdash something they know would've meant the world to him.
