I have found the death of a Robert Trotter in Melbourne in 1886 who died on 7 December 1886 who was a compositor, aged 67. Unfortunately his parents are listed as not known . The informant is an agent and he is said to have been born in Perth Scotland and been in Victoria for 30 years and was single. This is a possible match but it cannot be confirmed from the information on this certificate.
