Mrs. Margaret Jane Davies, formerly Moulton, was married to Albert Edward Ryrie Davies on March 10, 1905, and was deserted by her husband about two years afterwards. Mrs. Davies petitioned Mr. Justice Gordon, in the Sydney Divorce Court on Monday, for a dissolution of the marriage on the ground of desertion. She stated that the marriage took place in the New Unitarian Church, which was then in Pitt Street, Sydney. Dr. Zillman officiating. He husband never provided a home for her ; but she lived with his sisters, and afterwards with his mother for a few months. He was living in Bathurst and afterwards went to Tumut. That was four months after the marriage, and she never saw him since. He disappeared from Tumut in August, 1907. He was a postal assistant, and petitioner a hospital nurse. His Honor granted a decree nisi.

DAVIES v DAVIES.
Margaret Jane Davies (formerly Moulton) was the petitioner in a suit for divorce from Albert Edward Ryrie Davies, ex-postal employee, on the ground of desertion for three years and upwards. The parties were married on March 10, 1905, according to the rites of the New Unitarian Church. Mr. R. W. Fraser appeared for the petitioner, the suit being undefended. His Honor granted a decree nisi, returnable in six months, respondent to pay the costs of the suit, petitioner to have custody child.

' Postmaster-General's Department, General Post office, Sydney, 17th October, 1907. To Albert Edward Ryrie Davies, Clerical Assistant, Post master-General's Department, Tumut.Take notice (A) that notification from me was posted on the 6th ultimo, to your last known address, Tumut, in forming you that you had been further suspended from duty on the charge of improper conduct which has been preferred against you, and that a Board of Inquiry would be appointed to investigate the truth of the charge, and forwarding you a copy of the documents intended to be used at such inquiry; and (b) that a notice from the Chairman of the said Board, summoning you to attend the inquiry to be held at the Board-room, General Post Office, Sydney, on Wednesday, the 30th instant, at half-past ten a.m., has this day been posted to you at the above-mentioned address. - E. J. Young, Deputy Postmaster-General and Chief Officer.
