ORANGE, Sunday.
Mr. S. Jones, accountant in the Commercial Bank, about two years ago got a blow of a cricket ball on the leg while playing. Since then all means have been tried to effect a cure, and after the severest strain on his constitution he has had to have his leg amputated above the knee. This was successfully accomplished on Saturday at the house of his father-in-law (Mr. Davies, postmaster, Orange), by Drs. Bray and House, and the patient is now as well as can be expected.
