Elizabeth Glanfield was born between 1727 and 1729. There are three possibilities for her parentage:[1]
bap. 1 May 1727 at Newlyn East, dau. of John and Prudence Glanville bap. 3 Jun 1727 at St Columb Major, dau. of Samuel & Mary Glanfield bap. 21 Sep 1728 at St Columb Major, dau. of Thomas & Mary/Elizabeth Glanfield Whether the name was Glanville or Glanfield seems to be a matter of the preference of the scribe, rather than distinguishing between quite separate families.
On 9 Nov 1745, at St Dennis Chapel, Elizabeth married Anthony Hawkey, the son of Richard and Joan Hawkey.[2]
