He married Doris Axtill (Actil) (date unknown), but the marriage did not last. The children were sent to convents and orphanages, and the family lost contact with them. Jack died in 1964 in Marrickville, New South Wales, Australia.

This information has been obtained from other family tree information on Ancestry.com and Family Search and is presumed accurate, though I have been unable to find a marriage of Jack and Doris in NSW or Victoria, and births are not available online to these dates yet. The death of Joyce is on NSW BDM however.
