Jane was born in Cocaes, Brazil, the daughter of Thomas Treloar and Allarina Symons. (Thomas Treloar had gone to Brazil at age 20 to work as a miner). [1]

She was baptized in Helston, Cornwall in 1844. [2] Her middle name is transcribed in a number of ways - Coedes, Coldes, Cocacs - but she appeared to use Clara later in life (the probate document for her will gives her name as Jane Clara Little). [3]

Jane married John LITTLE [10921] [MRIN: 4318], son of William LITTLE [10917] and Isabella RIDDELL [10918], in 1859 in , Victoria, Australia.⁹⁵⁰⁵ (John LITTLE [10921] was born about 1830 in , Monaghan, Ireland, died in 1892 in Sale, Victoria, Australia ⁹⁵⁰⁶ and was buried on 17 May 1892 in Sale, Victoria, Australia.)
