The funeral took place at Earls Barton on Thursday of Mr G F Rogers who died suddenly at his home 8 Wellinborough Road, Earls Barton, aged 72.
Mr Rogers was well know in the vilage. For many years he had been secretary of the Earls Barton Band Club and treasurer of Earls Barton Hospital Week Committee. He was a governor of Northampton General Hospital.
Family mourners were: Mrs Rogers (widow), Mr and Mrs E W Knight (son-in-law and daughter), Master G Knight (grandson, Mr J Rogers and Mr C Rogers (brothers), Mr and Mrs A Rogers (brother and sister-in-law), Mrs E E Knight (friend).
The Rev. louis A Ewart officiated.
