Dear Aunt Fan*
Just a few words to let you know that I am alright. I can stand a bit now on one foot so I will be able to go about on crutches soon the wounds are heeled (sic) up now except one on the knee. I have been out two or three times in the chair.
I have not got much news to tell you. I have not heard from Wall** or Vic*** since I wrote last. Ray**** is in Eng. The last time I wrote to Wall I asked him to send me Ray's address. He sent it but whoever censored the letter cut it out. I will sent (sic) you a card every week to let you know how I am as I cannot think of enough to put in a letter. That is all this time so I will close hoping you are all well
With best love from Cliff
