General Notes: Thomas and Sarah arrived at Port Adelaide on board the 'Blanche Moor' from Bristol in 1855, along with their children, Elizabeth, Jane and Priscilla. They settled in Maryborough. While in England, Thomas was headmaster in Oldham Common near Bristol. While in Maryborough he was a local preacher in the Maryborough circuit for a long period. Thomas married Sarah CLEGG [3299] [MRIN: 986], daughter of John CLAY OR CLEGG [3574] and Elizabeth [10760], on 15 Nov 1833 in Worle St Martin, Somerset, England.3300 (Sarah CLEGG [3299] was born about 1808 in Weymouth, Dorset, England, christened on 16 Oct 1808 in Wyke Regis, Dorset, England,3304,3305 died on 6 Jan 1896 in Kiata, Vic, Australia 3306,3307 and was buried on 8 Jan 1896 in Dimboola, Vic, Australia.) |
