Ellen's death certificate states she was married in Limerick at the age of 23 years and had been in Australia for 25 years at the time of her death and that she was born in Co. Cork Ireland.
There are 12 children mentioned on the death certificate, they are John 25, William 23, Mary Ann 22, Edward 20 , Thomas 18 , Sarah 17, Esther 15, Margaret 12, Ernest 11, Kathleen 9 , Eliza dead and Constant 5. A son was born on the 11th October 1858 onboard the Harriet, this may have been John, but I cannot find birth registrations for William or Kathleen and John's birth is registered in 1861. Margaret's birth is registered in 1871 but her mother is named as Ellen HUME .
