Notice of Application for Transfer of Billiard Table Licence.
I THE undersigned, JOHN BAILLIE HENDERSON, of Lake Boga, in the State of Victoria, being the holder of a Billard Table Licence for premises situated at Lake Boga in the Licensing District of Swan Hill, do hereby give notice that I desire to obtain and will apply to the Licensing Court for the said Licensing District to be holden at Swan Hill on Thursday, the Thirty first day of May, One thousand nine hundred and seventeen, for a transfer of the said Billiard Table Licence to Frederick Alfred Hartwell, of Lake Boga aforesaid, Laborer.
And I the said FREDERICK ALFRED HARTWELL, do. hereby apply for the transfer. of the said licence to myself.

Assault Cases
Frederick Alfred Hartwell, of Lake Boga, was charged at the Court of 'Petty Sessions this morning with assaulting his wife, Helen Hartwell, at Lake Boga, on the 16th and 18th inst., and also with assaulting Edward Jones on the 18th inst. Senior-constable McCallum conducted the prosecution. Defendant pleaded guilty. After hearing evidence the bench inflicted a fine of /£2 in the first case with the alternative of seven days imprisonment. The other cases were dismissed.
