  General Notes:

If this is the correct James Leich, his father may have been Peter Leitch who married Helen Welsh in 1764, however, Legacy family tree will not allow me to add them as parents and gives an error message Mismatch 13 so I have had to delete these people. The error seems to be with Helen Welsh whose father is given as David Welsh and I have been unable to fix this error without deleting parents at this time. 13/07/2025

There is a James Leitch who died aged 37 in Edinburgh on 1 March 1843, whose occupation is given as Hatter.-Scotland's people

Also a James Leitch who died at Prestopans on 15 November 1853 aged 79 years We 25 feet from eas wall by 19 feet north wall who died of water in chest-Scotlands People

James married Marion WILSON [4118] [MRIN: 1295]. (Marion WILSON [4118] was born about 1781 in , , Scotland and died in 1843.)
