Jeremiah) of Gembrook Rd., Pakenham, which will be celebrated at Scots' Church, Dandenong, on 6th November, at 3 p.m. The Rev. J. A. Finlay will officiate.
The Dandenong Journal (Vic. : 1927 - 1954) Wed 24 Nov 1954 Page 18 Quiet Ceremony At Scots Quiet Ceremony At Scots' CLOSE FRIENDS and relatives were among the guests who were present at Scots' Church, Dandenong, on Saturday, the 6th November, to witness the marriage of popular South Gippsland bride, Miss Estelle Freda O'Meara, eldest daughter of Mr. Fred O'Meara, of Almurta, and the late Mrs. O'Meara, with Mr Geoffrey Keith Jeremiah, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Alf Jeremiah, of Gembrook Rd., Pakenham.
The Rev. J. A. Finlay performed the mid-day ceremony, and the ibride was given away by her father.
A gleaming mother-of-pearl coronet held in place the flowing ground-length white tulle veil worn by the bride, and her graceful white satin brocade gown featured a heart-shaped neckline, full - length fitted sleeves, and unusual stand-up collar. She carried a lovely bouquet of lily of the valley and white rosebuds.
Mrs. Garnham, a friend of Estelle's, who lives in the same district, was the only attendant, and she made a pretty picture in a bouffant strapless gown of pale blue net, topped with tiny matching jacket. Her hat was also of filmy blue net, and real flowers, in pastel pinks and blues, mingled fragrantly in the posy she held.
The groom was supported by his brother, Rob, as best man. Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah, snr., assisted by the newlyweds, later welcomed guests at a wedding luncheon, held at their Pakenham home. For travelling, the bride changed into a brown Birds-eye tailored suit, worn with black accessories, & and frosted white hat.
After a honeymoon at Lorne Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah will be residing at "Ardoch," Almurta.
