A Young Man Killed. .
NHILL - Lawrence William Aaron Cole, aged 23, of Kiata, was accidentally killed at Kiata on Friday. Alfred Taylor, a lad, was driving a pair of horses in a dray, when the leader became alarmed and bolted. Before the frightened animals could be got under control, the dray, in passing over a log, was completely turned over by the impact: Taylor was thrown clear, but Cole fell under, one of the guard rails, which pinned him across the neck to the ground. The boy was unable to extricate his comrade, and had to run half a mile before he could obtain assistance. An inquest was held and a verdict of accidental death was returned.
