TANGEY.--Mrs Elizabeth Tangey, a former resident of Stawell, died at the residence of her son, Mr Herbert Tangey, Goulburn st., Yarraville, on Sunday last week. She was a native of Concongella, and had reached the advanced age of 90 years. After her marriage she went to Stawell with her late husband, William John Tangey, and lived there until about 20 years ago, when she left to reside with her youngest son at Yarraville. Her husband predeceased her about 46 years ago. The late Mrs Tangey, who enjoyed the respect and esteem of a wide circle of friends, is survived by a family of eight. The remains were interred in the Footscray Cemetery.
Elizabeth married William John TANGEY 4 [1073] [MRIN: 2015], son of Richard TANGEY [1015] and Jane MITCHELL [1014], in 1874.1965 (William John TANGEY 4 [1073] was born in 1856 in Forest Creek, Vic, Australia 1966 and died in 1899 in Stawell, Vic, Australia 1967.)
