Mark was born at Stoke Damerel England in the September quarter of 1857.
John and Mark Perkins were said to be farmers at Macorna North in 1888-89 Post Office Directories. in 1891-92 edition Mark only is recorded and also in 1893-94, 95-96, 97-98 and 1899-1900.
In the 1912 electoral roll, Mark is still living at Macorna North, as are his wife Annie (Faulkner) and children Henry and Mabel May.
