On the ground of desertion Rupert Bede Wrigley, 37 years, of Stephen-Street, Yarraville, engine, fitter at the Newport workshops, sought divorce from Catherine Maud Wrigley, 37 years, of Station-street Hampton, clerk. The marriage took place in October, 1921. Soon after marriage respondent conducted a teashop in Bridge-road, Richmond, the purchase money of which was provided partly by £70 received in cheques as wedding presents, and £80 provided by petitioner. Respondent be came tired of the shop, and it was sold, and respondent became dissatisfied and there was also a coolness between petitioner and members of his wife's family. Respondent left him in August, 1923. A brother of respondent said his sister's objection to living with petitioner was his uncontrollable temper, and meanness in money matters. A decree nisi was granted.
