OBITUARY
A pioneer resident of Wendouree passed away early yesterday morning in the person of Mrs Ellen Fisher, relict of Mr William Henry Fisher, mine manager.
The deceased had resided at the corner of Howitt and Dowling streets for 46 years, and she was greatly esteemed by those who knew her best. She had been ailing for some time, having passed the alotted span, and death was not unexpected. Happily all surviving nine children - one daughter had predeceased her - were present at the end. Three sons are engaged in farming or dairying pursuits. The eldest son is Mr W. H. Fisher, plumber. Of the four daughters two are married-Mesdames R. M. Bourke, of Ascot Vale. and F. E. Cooke - the other two being the Misses J. and D. Fisher, who were in constant attendance on their mother till the end. One of the ones is engaged in mining in the Daylesford district. The deceased lady was a native of Limerick. The remains will be interred at the New Cemetery this afternoon.
