COUNTRY NEWS.
PYRAMID HILL, Thursday, Jan. 3.
A fire occurred at tire farm of Mr. James Cox, Terrick Terrick, early this morning., which destroyed his kitchen and store room, together with their contents, which were considerable, as Mr. Cox had just laid in his season's stores. The cause of the fire is unknown. The family retired about 10 p.m,, when everything appeared as usual, and wore awakened, about 4 a.m. by the noise of the burning building. The buildings were insured in the Northern Assurance office, but the amount will not nearly cover the loss.

James married Cecelia SCOTT [5874] [MRIN: 3015], daughter of James Charles SCOTT [9244] and Sarah RITCHIE [9243], on 7 Jul 1891 in Macorna, Vic, Australia. (Cecelia SCOTT [5874] was born about 1858 in Tylden, Vic, Australia, died on 11 Nov 1955 in Frankston, Vic, Australia ⁵³⁰² and was buried on 14 Nov 1955 in Bendigo, Vic, Australia.)
