DAVIES.-On November 29 (suddenly, after a brief illness), at Melbourne, Cecil George, loved husband of the late Amy Irene Proctor Davies, and loving father of Gwen (Mrs. S. Stewart), Morva (Mrs. Richard Evans. (Wellington, New Zealand). (Private cremation.)

Mr. Cecil G. Davies
Mr. Cecil George Davies, 66 years, died after a brief illness at Melbourne on Friday morning. Mr. Davies was well known in banking circles prior to his retirement, and took interest in the Henley regatta. He was a well-known member of the Banks Rowing Club, stroked the Victorian crew on many occasions; and won the Australian rowing championship, at Perth in 1912. He also at one time held the amateur lightweight boxing championship of Victoria. He Is survived by two daughters; Gwen and Morva. His remains will be privately, cremated this morning: at Spring Vale. The arrangements are in the hands of A. A. Sleight Pty. Ltd.

Mr Cecil George Davies, of Marne st. South Yarra, died suddenly on Friday after a brief illness. Aged 66, Mr Davies was well known in banking circles before he retired. He was a member of the Banks Rowing Club and was stroke of the Victorian - crew on many occasions. He won the Australian rowing championship at Perth in 1912, and at one time held the amateur lightweight boxing championship of Victoria.
His wife predeceased him about two years ago. He is survived by two daughters, Gwen and Morva. His remains will be privately cremated this morning at Springvale. Arrangements are in the hands of A. A. Sleight Pty Ltd.
