A very distressing and fatal accident occurred to a child of Mr. Job Wilson, of Diamond Creek, on Saturday afternoon last. With other children the child (who was 2 years and 6 months old) was playing near a dray loaded with wood (without a horse attached), and by some means the children interfered with the props and let the shafts down, one of which struck the unfortunate child, causing terrible injuries and almost instantaneous death.

Raymond Wilson, aged 2 years, son of Mr. Job Wilson, of Diamond Creek, was playing around a dray loaded with wood, when the props gave way, and the shaft fell across the little fellow's body. A neighbour helped Mrs. Wilson to lift the dray, but the little fellow was quite dead.
