THE Friends of the late WILLIAM BEGGS are respectfully informed that his remains will be interred in the Kerang Cemetery TO-MORROW (Sunday), 12th July. Funeral to leave his late residence, Pyramid Creek, at 1.45, arriving at the Cemetery about 2.30 p.m.

OBITUARY.
Another link in the chain of life that binds us to the past was broken on Friday last when Mr William Beggs, of Pyramid Creek, passed away. The old gentleman had passed the allotted span
of life, having reached the advanced age of 83 years. Mr Beggs was an old resident of this district, having arrived here from the Tarnagulla district soon after the gold fever had subsided. After years
spent at mining with various successes he turned his attention to contracting and afterwards established a milk round in Kerang which he carried on with some profit. He had reared a large family, and of late had practically settled down. He took no interest in public matters, but was always concerned about the welfare of the district. He leaves a widow and a grown up family of seven sons and five daughters to mourn his loss. The funeral was a lengthy one, thus showing
the esteem in which the deceased and family were held. It took place at the Kerang cemetery on Sunday, Canon Brydges officiating, and Messrs Geo. Adams and Sons carried out the funeral
obsequies.
William married Mary O'BRIEN [3938] [MRIN: 1215], daughter of Thomas O'BRIEN [11545] and Mary LYNCH [11546], on 29 Jun 1866 in Glenpatrick, Victoria, Australia 4413.,4414 (Mary O'BRIEN [3938] was born on 26 Aug 1844 in Wollombi, New South Wales, Australia,4416 died on 17 Aug 1936 in Kerang , Victoria, Australia 4416,4417 and was buried on 18 Aug 1936 in Kerang , Victoria, Australia.)
