Raymond Oswald DAWES [4492]
General Notes: Raymond enlisted in WW1 in August 1914. His SERN was 430. He was injured at Gallipoli and sent to hospital on the 8th of June 1915 where his a finger on his right hand was amputated due to a gunshot wound. In July 1917 he was returned to Australia for home service due to deafness. Noted events in his life were: 1. Military: World War 1 SERN 430, 1914-1918. Raymond married Rose Alice WARD [5118] [MRIN: 1596] on 4 Nov 1917 in Malvern, SA, Australia. (Rose Alice WARD [5118] was born about 1890 in , SA, Australia and died in 1951 in , WA, Australia 4698.) |
