Although a Probate entry was found for Michael Costigan in manual registers 4800 / 3 in 1994, there is no record of a probate entry for him in electronic searches in 2015. The researcher T Waddingham had forwarded me a transcription of the will in March 1995.

In 1880 he had children 8 males 6 females living.

Michael married Catherine REDMOND [759] [MRIN: 228], daughter of John REDMOND [224] and Sarah FARRELL [223], in 1847 in , Victoria, Australia.¹⁴⁰² (Catherine REDMOND [759] was born about 1829 in , , Ireland, died on 20 Jun 1912 in Coonamble, NSW, Australia ^1403,1404 and was buried on 22 Jun 1912 in Coonamble, NSW, Australia.)
