By the fifty-odd priests in attendance six dioceses were represented at the opening of the new church at Coonamble. One priest, Rev. Father Byrne, of Yenda, a nephew of Messrs. Costigan Bros., Coonamble, travelled 1000 miles in order to take part in the ceremonies.
