Mr. Fred Scown, of Terang. met with a very serious accident yesterday morning While riding after a cow, his horse slipped on the wet planking-of a bridge on the Framlingham road, near Mr Justin's residence, and he was thrown on his head on the metal. When picked up he was bleeding from the nose, and was unconscious. He was brought by motor car to his home, where he was attended to by Dr Weir, but up to a late hour last night he had not regained consciousness. Mr Scown attained his seventieth birthday on Monday last, and in view of his advanced age, his condition is looked upon as being very grave.
