William BANNAN [95]General Notes: It would appear that William went to Queensland with his brother James in the late 1890's or early 1900's and was listed as a kangaroo shooter in the vicinity of Mackay at the same time his brother was living in that area. In 1914 William is listed as a farmer at Yinnar, Victoria, so he may have returned to Victoria after his brother John's death at Yinnar and farmed there for a while, but it would appear he returned to Queensland at some stage after this. He is listed as living at Thargomindah, Qld in 1925. His occupation at this time is listed as Station manager. |
