The engagement is announced of Dorothy Joan, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Stephens. of Boyanup, to John William, youngest son of Mr. and the late Mrs. Thomas Tyrrell. of Waterloo.

WILLIAMS-TYRRELL.
On Saturday, September 27, at the Congregational Church, Bunbury, the marriage of Charlotte Matilda, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Tyrrell, of Paradise, to Edward Joseph, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Williams, of Rathmines, Bunbury, was solemnised by Rev. C. F. Currant. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a simple gown of ivory Coney silk, with handkerchief point of ivory georgette ankle length, sleeves and neck relieved with georgette and rhinestone beading. Her bridal veil was of silk net Worked In the corners with silver, with coronet of orange blossom, and a sheath of roses, carnations and lilies completed her toilette. The first bridesmaid. Miss May Tyrrell (sister of the bride) wore powder blue georgette and lace, with mob caps, of lemon tulle, and posy of cream roses and ferns, With lemon streamers. The second bridesmaid.

Miss Elsie Fearless (friend of the bride) was frocked in lemon georgette, mob cap of powder blue tulle, posy of cream roses and fern, with blue streamers. Mr. Harry Williams (brother of the bridegroom) acted as best man, and Mr. Dick Rowe, of South Bunbury, was groomsman. Miss Tobitt ably presided at the organ and the girl friends of the bride decorated the Church.

After the ceremony many relatives and friends adjourned to the Rathmines school where breakfast Was served. Mrs. Thomas Tyrrell, mother of the bride, and Mrs. H. C. Wilson, mother of the bridegroom, received the guests. The bride's mother wore a becoming frock of dove grey crepe de chine, with hat to tone. The bridegroom's mother chose black celanese relieved With white trimming, hat to match. The usual toasts were honored, and a pleasant evening was spent Later in the evening Mr. and Mrs. Williams left by car for their honeymoon. The bride's travelling frock was royal blue locket celanese, with hat, gloves, hose, and shoes to tone. A beige choker completed the smart toilette. The wedding presents were numerous and useful.
