SMITH.-In loving and sacred memory of Second-Lieutenant Ellis Austin William Glanville Smith, 28th Battalion, late 8th Battery, killed in action on September 20, 1917. Also Private Bevil Bernard James Glanville Edwards, killed in action on March 2, 1917, 28th Battalion.
They left many friends on the battlefield,
And many they left behind.
Those who live will keep their memory green,'
And their thoughts will be always kind.
Our hearts are sad for we know we'll meet
