Father of William Faulkner, was said to be a dairyman, Abraham who came to Australia on the ship "Dale Park" which arrived at Port Phillip on 21 July 1844. He came to Australia with his wife Anne, 32, and children George 10, William 8, Hannah 6, and Jane 3. Also on board was J.T (John Thomas) who was an infant. This child died on board ship. The family was said to have "forwarded to Geelong " upon leaving the ship. Two more children were born in Australia. Abraham is shown as a farmer at Inverleigh in the 1869 Post Office register.

IN the SUPREME COURT of the COLONY of VICTORIA : In the Probate Jurisdiction.-Notice is hereby given, that after the expiration of fourteen days from the publication hereof application will be made to this honourable Court that PROBATE of the LAST WILL and TESTAMENT with a codicil thereto of ABRAHAM FAULKNER, formerly of New Town, by Geelong, in the colony of Victoria, but late of near Inverleigh, in the said colony, sheep and cattle breeder, deceased, may be granted to his widow, Mary Ann Faulkner, of Inverleigh aforesald, appointed by the said will sole executrix Dated this 21st day of March, 1877.
