There is 2 possibilities for the death of William Barkell, there is a death in June 1848 at Tavistock, Devonshire, England. However I have recently found the death of a William Barkell of the correct age, said to be from Tavistock, Devonshire, a miner who was killed in Sark, Channel Islands in 1845.

Alt Death: of Tavistock, Devon, died possibly in a well at a mine on the Island of Sark, 6 Mar 1845, Guernsey, Channel Islands. William married Elizabeth ROWE [288] [MRIN: 95], daughter of Benjamin ROWE [486] and Mary CRUSE [485], on 6 Jul 1833 in Tavistock, Devonshire, England.685 (Elizabeth ROWE [288] was born in 1814 in Tavistock, Devonshire, England, christened on 2 Feb 1814 in Tavistock, Devonshire, England,687 died on 22 Jul 1887 in Macorna, Victoria, Australia 688 and was buried on 24 Jul 1887 in Kerang , Victoria, Australia.) |
