As the result of injuries received in an accident on January 27, when the axle of a sidecar broke and the machine crashed into a tree George Thomas Eade, motor mechanic, of Balranald (N.S.W.), died on Saturday in the Inglewood Hospital. At the inquest Mr. Willsmere, J.P., returned a finding of accidental death.

OBITUARY
GEORGE T. EADE
The very sad news of the death of Mr. George Thomas Eade, who was fatally injured from the accident on his motor bicycle and side car whilst riding to Melbourne with his wife and child on Sunday, 26th ult., reached Balranald on Saturday evening last.
Deceased, who had sustained concussion of the head and a fractured arm, had been admitted to the Inglewood hospital as a result of his injuries, and despite medical attention never regained consciousness and passed away shortly before 5 p.m. on the 1st inst.
An inquiry held by Mr. Willsmere, J.P., resulted in the finding that death was due to concussion, caused by accident, through the axle of a side car breaking, no blame being attached to anyone.
Deceased, who was only a young man of 28 years, was a splendid example of manhood. Of fine physique,
temperate, hard working and most conscientious, and greatly respected by everyone who knew him.
At the age of 16 years deceased enlisted with the A.I.F., serving with the 34th Batallion abroad.
Deceased was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Eade, late of Balranald, and was a native of the town, being
born in a former residence which was erected at the corner of Ballandella and Wee streets.
Brothers J. E. Russ, P.D.G.M., and H. L. Blake, of the Oddfellows lodge, of which deceased was a member, left by car on Saturday evening for Inglewood and conveyed deceased's mortal remains to the Presbyterian Church, Balranald. Mr. M. H. Harben, employer of deceased, also drove to Inglewood, and conveyed deceased's widow, child and relatives to Balranald.
A short service was held in the Presbyterian Church at 6.30 p.m. on Sunday evening, Mr. Sidney Goddard officiating. The coffin, which was draped with the Union Jack and many handsome wreaths, was carried from the church by Messrs. W. Prentice and G. Rosewarne (representing R.S.S.I.I.A.), Messrs. L. Cameron and D. Farrell (Oddfellows), and Messrs. F. King and D. Sterrey (Buffaloes), who acted as pall-bearers. Over 100 members of the Oddfellows lodge, Buffalo lodge and Returned Soldiers marched ahead of the hearse, whilst thirty motor cars followed the cortege to the burial ground. At the entrance to the cemetery those who had marched ahead of the hearse formed up in two lines, whilst the hearse passed through, followed by the mourners.
Mr. Sidney Goddard conducted the burial service, after which Mr. E. R. Russ sounded the Last Post. Bro. Sterrey then read the burial service pertaining to the R.A.O.B., whilst all members joined hands around the graveside, at the conclusion of which each brother deposited an emblem of evergreen in the open grave. Bro. A. G. Leslie, I.P.N.G., on behalf of the M.U.I.O.O.F., further continued with the burial service, members of the order likewise, forming a circle and depositing evergreen in the grave.
It is many years since such a large funeral has taken place in Balranald, which showed the esteem in which the
late Mr. Geo. Eade was held by every resident in the town. Deceased leaves his widow and baby boy to mourn their loss, and to whom widespread sympathy is extended in their very sad bereavement.

Information is requested respecting William Edward Hebblewhite or Ebblewhite, who left his office, George-street, Sydney, about one month ago, and has not since been heard of.
He is about 28-years of age, medium height, slender build, very fair complexion, dark hair, fair moustache, blue eyes ; a native of England ; a mining agent and accountant. He may have gone to Cooktown, Queensland. Information to the Inspector General of Police, or Mr. Hebblewhite, No. 217, Riley-street, Surry Hills.

MINING INTELLIGENCE.
Burnt Yards. - The celebrated Prince of Wales claim hrs been purchased by W. E. Ebblewhite, the well-known mining and share broker of Sydney, and formed into a promoter's company. Machinery is at once to be put on the ground. Our readers may recollect that large sums were offered for shares in this claim from which a very large amount of gold has been lodged at the Carcoar bank. The assays from the pyrites sent home for analysis prove this to be one of the richest claims in the colony. We feel sure that this will turn out a grand speculation for those interested, as well as being of great benefit to the district, as there are now between two and three hundred tons of stone at grass, the supply of which appears to be unlimited - 5 men raising 25 tons a day. Water only is required for crushing purposes.

In the matter of the petition of Julius Kittler, of 118, George street, Redfern, in the Colony of New South Wales,
watchmaker and jeweller, praying that the estate of William E. Ebblewhite, late of 331, G-eorge-street, Sydney, in the said Colony, house, land, and estate agent, may be sequestrated for the benefit of his creditors according to law.
WHEREAS on the petition of Julius Kittler, of George-street, Redfern, in the Colony of New South Wales, watchmaker and jeweller, the estate of the abovenamed William E. Ebblewhite, was, on the 19th day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three, by order of His Honor the Chief Commissioner of Insolvent Estates for the Colony of New South Wales, placed under sequestration until the same should, by sentence of His Honor, be adjudged to be sequestrated for the benefit of the creditors of the said William E. Ebblewhite, or the said petition be discharged according to law: And His Honor did appoint Thursday, the 3rd day of May next, for the said William E. Ebblewhite, to appear before him, to show cause why his estate should not by such sentence be adjudged
to be so sequestrated: His Honor did at the same time appoint Edward Milner Stephen, Esquire, of Sydney, one of the Official Assignees of Insolvent Estates within the said Colony, to be Official Assignee of this estate.- Dated at Sydney, this 25th day of April, a.d. 1883.

In 1883 and Emily S Ebblewhite married William R Stanley, in 1886 Emily Sarah Stanley is executor in the will of her father William Hellyer so it is certainly William Ebblewhite's first wife.

Perth, December 8,
In the City Police Court this afternoon, William Ebblewhiie was charged with having neglected to provide the necessities of life for his wife, Amelia Ebblewhite, whereby she is likely to be permanently injured.
Evidence was given to the effect that on November 13 Adjutant Sawtell, of the Salvation Army, went to a house in Subiaco. One room, partitioned off, was occupied by the accused and his wife, he found the wife lying on her back on tie floor paralysed in the lower limbs, and in a terrible condition. Filth and dirt were caked to her back, and the only food in the house was a pot of decomposed meat.
The following morning Constable Hickey, Miss Sawtell, and Nurse Kidd visited the place and found the husband drunk and the wife still on the floor. There was nothing to eat except the tin of decomposed meat, The bedroom and bedclothes were in a filthy state, Tins of excreta were in both rooms, and the woman's clothes were in such a filthy condition that they had to be out off.
Miss Sawtell, who has had many years experience in the Melbourne slums , said that she had never seen a woman in such a filthy state. Miss Sawtell cleaned the woman and removed her to the hospital.
The medical evidence showed that the woman was permanently injured.
The accused was committed for trial.

PERTH, Dec, 17.
At the Criminal Court, William Ebblewhite was found guilty of neglecting his wife, who was found lying on the floor of her house at Subiaco partly paralysed and covered with filth. A sentence of nine months' imprisonment was passed, his Honor stating that the evidence showed the prisoner to have been guilty of cruel, cold blooded neglect. He had been spending his money on drink instead of looking after his wife.
