  General Notes:

Sarah was 19 years old at the time of her first marriage which took place at the Parish Church, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. Her profession at her first marriage was given as housekeeper, and her address was Railway Station.

When she married for the 2nd time her occupation was given as Closer and her address was given as White Horse yard. In the 1861 Census, there is a Thomas and Martha Horn living next door to William Darlow and Sarah. Possibly Sarah's brother and sister in law from her first marriage. Also Sarah's brother Thomas aged 14 was living with William and Sarah in 1861.

Sarah's mother, Maria Smith, is said to have been a gypsy (sjholmes51-Ancestry.com). Robert Bernard Blackwell used to tell the family a story about someone in the Darlow family being a gypsy (Romany Traveller). He said that the women in the family used to sit around the fire smoking pipes and that the family used to talk in a different language. Dave Darlow, England, in July 2012 advises that they were told that Sarah Holland was a gypsy and his father could speak the gypsy language as could his grandfather and they learnt it from Sarah Darlow (Holland).

In 1872 when Charles Henry was born, Sarah and William were living at Box Meadow, Blatchinworth, Lancashire and William's occupation was given as brickmakers labourer. In April 1875 when Charles Henry died, William and Sarah were living at New Road, Dearnley Wuerdle, Lancashire. Interestingly, Sarah's surname is given as Late Horn, formerly Johnson on Charles Henry's birth certificate.

Sarah married someone Joseph HORN [1314] [MRIN: 395], son of William HORN [4100] and Prudence WOODRUFFE [11780], on 31 May 1857 in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, England.²³⁶⁵ (Joseph HORN [1314] was born Jun Q 1838 in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, England ²³⁷², christened on 16 Jun 1844 in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, England ²³⁷³ and died on 3 Jul 1859 in Higham Ferrers, Northamptonshire, England ²³⁷⁴.)

Sarah next married William DARLOW [1293] [MRIN: 394], son of John DARLOW [1313] and Sarah BARTRAM [1475], on 3 Dec 1860 in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, England.²³⁶⁶ (William DARLOW [1293] was born on 9 Mar 1839 in Kimbolton, Huntingdonshire, England ²³⁷⁵, christened on 7 Apr 1839 in Kimbolton, Huntingdonshire, England,²³⁷⁶ died on 2 Apr 1920 in Kettering, Northamptonshire, England ²³⁷⁷ and was buried on 7 Apr 1920 in London Road Cemetery, Kettering, Northamptonshire, England ^2370,2371.)
