The Ballarat Star (Vic. : 1865 - 1924) View title info Fri 22 Aug 1890 Page 4 BEAUFORT. A miner named James Crocker met with a serious accident between 3 and 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon. It. appears he was sinking in shallow alluvial ground at Duncan's Gully, about a mile and a half from Raglan, when the ground caved in on him. It was about 10 or 15 minutes before he was dug out. His chest is badly injured. He is being taken to the Ballarat Hospital by the 1.30 train.
