The bride (who was unattended) wore a blue-grey suit with pink accessories, and later added a taupe overcoat for travelling.
A small number of relatives and friends gathered at the bridges parents for the breakfast.
The happy couple will make their future home at Mirboon North.

General:
Gladys lived at Trafalgar until March 1940 and then as per her husband's movements thereafter. She never seemed to mind the constant shifting around.
Family lore states that Gladys and Harold's wedding did not quite go to plan. On the day they were to marry, the Ministers car broke down and he was unable to get to the church to marry them. Wedding photos were taken as everyone was in their wedding gear, but the wedding did not actually take place until the following day. The bridesmaid was Lorna Rodda and the best man was ???? Mick or Mark O'Shea. It is understood that the best man was not able to be present on the actual wedding day due to a previous commitment and Charlie Wallis may have stepped in .

Bonham-Wilson
The wedding took place at the Methodist Church, Trafalgar on 7th inst., of Gladys Elsie, second daughter of Mr and Mrs F Wilson, Trafalgar, and Harold William, only child of Mr and Mrs John Bonham of Inglewood and Broadmeadows.
The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of her own design, made of white colette, with a full skirt. It had long sleeves shirred at the shoulder and cuffs and was finished at the neck with orange blossom and diamente initials. She wore a coronet of orange blossom and a tulle veil (lent by the brides aunt, Mrs D Wilson), and she carried a bouquet of white and pale pink roses and maiden hair fern.
The bridesmaid, Miss Lorna Rodda, was attired in a frock of white marocain, patterned in autumn tones and finished at the neck with a posy of matching flowers. She wore a large picture hat to match, and carried a bouquet of autumn tinted flowers.
The duties of the best man were carried out by Mr Charlie Wallis of Moe.
After the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was held at the home of the bride's parents.
Among those present were the bride's grand-father, Mr Job Wilson, and her grand-mother Mrs Robins, of Erica. The bridegroom's mother was also present.
Included in the numerous and useful presents received by the couple was a leather bound bible presented by the officiating clergyman, Rev. D Monkhouse.

She was extremely accomplished at many types of handiwork, particularly, knitting, crochet, embroidery and smocking. She would experiment with many types of handiwork. In later life she turned her hand to painting of many kinds. As her eyesight began to fail she had to stop doing much of the finer work that she had previously done.
She was known as Grandma or Nanna to her grandchildren.
