Minnie divorced her first husband in 1922. The earliest electoral roll currently found is 1937 where she is calling herself Minnie Riley, though she and William Joseph Riley didn't marry until 1943. William Joseph Riley's first wife Gladys May Forbes divorced him in 1927 and Mrs Heath was mentioned in the divorce papers at that time.

The Colac Herald (Vic. : 1875 - 1918) Tue 7 Oct 1884 Page 3 COLAC POLICE COURT.
COLAC POLICE COURT.
FRIDAY October, 3rd, 1884.
(Before Mr. Heron, P.M.).
Mary Trotter v. Robert Trotter.-This was a summons for assault. Mr. Hancock for plaintiff.
Mr. Whyte was retained for the defence, but professional engagements detained him in Geelong; and Mr. Butt, clerk to Mr. Whyte, asked that the case might be postponed for a week. He further added that there was every prospect of the case being settled out of Court before the end of the week. Mr. Hancock said he would not oppose the application provided his client were agreeable.
Sergeant Hall said he had known the plaintiff a considerable time and she was a respectable old lady. Within the past few weeks she had complained to him of the conduct of her son (the defendant), as well as that of his wife, towards her. The defendant had beat her and put her out of her home, and acting on his advice she consulted Mr. Hancock. The defendant, who did not appear, was sent for and failing his attendance within an hour Mr. Heron said he would issue a warrant for his arrest. The defendant appeared in Court half an hour afterwards and Mrs Trotter entered the witness box.
Mr. Heron addressing the plaintiff asked if she objected to a postponement of the hearing of the case until next Friday. Mr. Whyte, who was engaged for her son, was absent, and his clerk, Mr. Butt, applied for an adjournment. If she was in fear of violence from her son the case would be proceeded with. Mrs. Trotter replied that she did not object to an adjournment of the case, for she did not expect the defendant would do her any more harm than he had done.
Sergeant Hall stated to the Bench that he knew the defendant, and he was assured if the latter gave his word not to molest the plaintiff or go near her until next Friday, it would be sufficient warranty for the adjournment being granted as asked for.
The defendant promised Mr. Heron not to go near his mother until next Friday,
Mr. Heron told the defendant that if he did, and any violence were attempted, Sergeant Hall would issue a warrant for his arrest.
The summons was accordingly extended to Friday next; costs of the day to be costs of the case.
