The surname of this person was originally recorded as Wood, but the surname could possibly be Hill. Marriage found of Thomas Swindon to Elizabeth Hill in 1821, but I have been unable to find marriage to an Elizabeth Wood.
Elizabeth died on 14 August 1856 at 14 Digby Street, Bethnal Green of ovarian disease. L Swindon was present at the death and Elizabeth was the wife of Thomas Swindon, Rigger. The L Swindon who reported the death and who was present was possibly Elizabeth's younger daughter Louisa.

General:
In 1924 the Hill's were living in Tooradin, Victoria, Australia. Abner's father is listed as postmaster at Tooradin in the electoral roll of that year.
Abner died intestate and his furniture and effects were valued at £22 5s 6p on 11 February 1926 when probate was granted. The probate documents state that Edward John Abner Hill was in the care of Mrs R Lush of Yarragon, and the other three children were in the care of their grandfather Edward Hill at this time, however it is known that the children had been in the care of Alfred Dawes and the Morgan sisters at the time of Hilda Maude's death in November 1925 and that their paternal grandfather, Edward Hill came and took the children away, despite their father's express verbal wishes that the children not be given into the custody of his father.
It is thought that Edward Hill put the children into an orphanage shortly afterwards. Many years later when Dora Dawes tracked down her nieces and nephews and visited them, they asked why the Dawes's hadn't come to the orphanage to collect them. Dora explained to them that the Dawes family had no idea where the Hill children went after they were taken from the Dawes family by their paternal grandfather.

Simpson and Charlotte Hill (late of Tooradin, Dalmore, and Iona), brother of Queenie (Mrs. G.Gaskett), Roland (deceased), Crissy (Mrs. J. H.Easby), Dudley, Rosie (Mrs. C. W. Lush), Arthur, and Ivy (Mrs. B. W. Knight), aged 40 years.

HILL - In loving memory of our eldest son, brother, and father, S. A. (Abner), who departed
this life at the Warragul Hospital, on the 30th July, 1925; also his wife, Maud Hilda, who died
at the same place on the 22nd November, 1926.
Both reunited. After long suffering- rest.
